MEARN (Moroccan Education And Resource Network) is a Moroccan based non-profit organization founded in 1999 by Moroccan educators, its mission it to contribute to the empowerment of Moroccan children and youth. Through its teacher training programs, conferences, and other community based activities, MEARN aims to contribute to quality education by spreading information and knowledge for the transformation of Moroccan educational system. By providing access to quality education, information and knowledge and for the transformation the Moroccan educational system, MEARN is preparing the youth of Morocco to effectively enter the 21st century global economy. As pioneer in K-12 online collaborative project-based learning, MEARN has grown to more than 2,500 educators and 20,000 students in more than 300 schools active in iEARN projects and programs around Morocco.
iEARN (International Education and Resource Network) is a network of non-profit organization, made up of over 30,000 schools and youth organizations in more than 140 countries, that works to connect classroom learning with real world issues, and to work collaboratively to find solutions to these issues.
iEARN’s vision: To enable young people to undertake projects designed to make a meaningful contribution to the health and welfare of the planet and its people.
iEARN empowers teachers and young people to work together online using the Internet and other new communications technologies. Over 2,000,000 students have been engaged in collaborative project work worldwide.
